Our second HGN event, for our Ethics theme, took place on 1 September. We were delighted by both the panellists and the audience, who gave us a fantastic discussion and raised some thought-provoking questions. This was the final event of our second theme, and the first which has run across a full three months. We now move onto theme three, (Post)Colonialism. This is an area which has been at the heart of discussions in and around historical video games for a number of years now, and this ongoing attention is perhaps demonstrated by a wealth of submissions to the call for contributions – thank you to everyone who has submitted something! Due to the volume of material that has been shared with us, we’ve decided to begin posting for this theme a week earlier than we planned, and so you’ll see our first contributor post during the week ahead.
As before, the contributions will lead us into our theme event, which we currently expect to take place in early December. We’ll confirm the date, and announce our panellists, soon.
